A new sale on the 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro drops its price to just $1,299 — the lowest price we’ve seen for this model.
Apple’s workhorse professional laptop is a great get for anyone when it goes on sale. And with the M5 models reportedly delayed until 2026, now’s the time to upgrade. MacBook Pro deals you can grab right now
While Apple’s M4 MacBook Pro lineup looks just like previous models, you get big upgrades under the hood with the new ones (plus that hot new space black color). And the familiar Liquid Retina XDR display now reaches a higher peak SDR brightness of 1,000 nits.
On the inside, the main highlight is the M4 chips, which offer big leaps in performance and efficiency. The CPU and GPU cores are faster than ever, as is the unified memory on offer in various configurations. And the Neural Engine gets even bigger upgrades, with Apple claiming a 3x performance boost in AI workloads over the M1 chip.
Another key upgrade? The M4 MacBook Pro adds an extra Thunderbolt 4 port. Thus, you now get three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI connector and MagSafe 3 for charging. The webcam also receives an upgrade, switching to a 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View support. That’s great for online meetings.
All that, and some of the newest MacBook Pro models gain about an hour of battery life over previous models.
