You can now buy a refurbished iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro directly from Apple with big discounts. Depending on the model, you can save as much as 15%.

Apple began selling refurbished iPhone 15 models in Europe earlier this year. It is now expanding their availability to the U.S. and Canada.

Refurbished iPhone 15 hits Apple’s U.S. store

Apple no longer officially sells the iPhone 15 Pro in the U.S. But you can still buy a new iPhone 15, with prices starting from $699. If you go the refurbished route though, you can get the phone for only $619 — saving $80 (via MacRumors).

As for the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple’s Certified Refurbished store lists it for $759. That’s $140 less than its last retail price of $899. Higher storage variants are also listed for sale with a bigger discount. You can save as much as $210 on the 1TB iPhone 15 Pro Max and get it for only $1,189.

There are several benefits to buying directly from Apple’s Certified Refurbished store. All refurbished iPhones ship with a new battery and outer shell, which is a big enough reason to buy refurbished units directly from Apple. You also get all the in-box accessories and cables with your purchase. Plus, they are covered by Apple’s standard one-year warranty, which you can further extend using AppleCare.

Avoid buying the iPhone 15

At its refurbished price, the iPhone 15 delivers great value for money. Yet, you should avoid buying it. That’s because it lacks support for Apple Intelligence. Instead, if you can spend a bit extra, buy the iPhone 16 or get the $599 iPhone 16e instead. It only features a single rear camera but sports a faster A-series chip and Apple Intelligence support.

The iPhone 15 Pro is a better refurbished buy. However, you can get a new unit directly from Amazon or other retailers at a lower price. If that’s not an option, then purchase the refurbished unit directly from Apple.
