“My aim is to draw it out of the shadows…” Jagged Edge has finally unveiled the full official trailer for their next new ridiculous horror offering Bambi: The Reckoning, the latest in the public domain characters series of B-movies. They are also the same ones who made these Winnie the Pooh horror movies, and this next one is supposed to be part of the “Poohniverse.” The story follows Xana and her son Benji who find themselves in a car wreck and soon hunted down by the vicious killing machine, Bambi. “The film will be an incredibly dark retelling of the 1928 story we all know and love… Finding inspiration from the design used in Netflix’s The Ritual, Bambi will be a vicious killing machine that lurks in the wilderness. Prepare for Bambi on rabies!” The film stars Roxanne McKee, Nicola Wright, Samira Mighty, Russell Geoffrey Banks, Alex Cooke, and Tom Mulheron. We already posted the first teaser trailer last year, and it was supposed to open in October. Now it’s releasing in the summer of 2025, sometime in the next few months, after a slight delay. Unfortunately this still looks like trash. But maybe it’ll be entertaining trash? Up to you.

Inspired by the animated movie Bambi (from 1942), this film will transform the innocent deer we know into a killing machine. The story follows Xana (Roxanne McKee) and her son Benji (Tom Mulheron) who find themselves in a car wreck and soon hunted down by the vicious killing machine, Bambi. Bambi: The Reckoning is directed by British B-movie editor / filmmaker Dan Allen, director of the movies Unhinged, Mummy Reborn, and It Came From Below, plus many other shorts and editing on many movies previously. The screenplay is written by Rhys Warrington, based on the novel written by Felix Salten. Produced by Scott Jeffrey and Rhys Frake-Waterfield. Made by Jagged Edge Productions. Bambi: The Reckoning is set to be a part of the “Twisted Childhood Universe” of public domain horror movies, including Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare and Pinocchio Unstrung, too. ITN Studio & Premiere Ent. will release Bambi: The Reckoning in theaters starting summer 2025 – stay tuned for a final release date. Still looking good? Anyone into this?
